KENT CNC KTHA-4000P Horizontal Machining Center-1

KTHA-4000P Horizontal Machining Center

Product Highlights

The KENT CNC KTHA-4000P Horizontal Machining Center is engineered for high-performance machining of cast iron and aluminum alloy parts. It features a 15,000 rpm direct-drive spindle with a 49.6/20.1 hp (37/15 kW) motor output and 183.6 ft-lb (249 Nm) of torque, delivering fast, precise cutting. Optional upgrades include a 20,000 rpm built-in spindle with a 53.6/40.2 hp (40/30 kW) motor.

For table stability during machining, the KTHA-4000P includes hydraulic locking with 14,300 lbs (6.5 tons) of clamping force and a high-precision B-axis rotary table with a low-backlash, high-durability worm drive, enabling accurate and repeatable indexing. The optional Automatic Pallet Changer (APC) further enhances productivity by minimizing part loading and unloading times.

Structurally, the machine uses a double-wall, symmetrical, and honeycomb design, boosting rigidity by 20%, reducing weight by 25%, and minimizing thermal distortion. A stepped bed with roller guideways improves rigidity and saves floor space.

The KTHA-4000P offers a travel stroke of 24.0/24.0/26.0 in (610/610/660 mm) for the X/Y/Z axes, with rapid traverse speeds of 2,362 in/min (60 m/min) and acceleration of 1.0 G. Its three-point support base ensures stable and easy installation.

The machine accommodates workpieces up to Ø24.8 × 31.5 in (Ø630 × 800 mm) and a maximum weight of 882 lbs (400 kg). It offers 0.01° table indexing, a 0.5 sec 90° index time, and 3,690 ft-lb (500 kg·m) of braking torque—ideal for high-precision, high-speed, and heavy-duty machining.
