CNC Deep‑Hole Drilling Solutions

Not sure which Deep Hole Drilling Machine is for you?

KDH — General‑Purpose Deep‑Hole Drilling

The Kent CNC KDH Series is purpose-built for deep-hole drilling, combining massive capacity with proven precision. Models range from 3,100 mm up to 12,000 mm drilling depth, supported by rigid ballscrews and wide base spans up to 1,400 mm for maximum stability. With gear-driven spindles offering speeds of 3–30 rpm for large-diameter boring, and auxiliary tool spindles reaching 1,000 rpm (optionally 1,250 rpm), the KDH Series balances high torque with operational flexibility. Workholding includes dual chucks up to Ø630 mm (optional Ø800 mm, 3- or 4-jaw), while workpiece weight capacity extends from 20,000 kg to 120,000 kg on larger models. Standard accuracy reaches ±0.01 mm, ensuring reliable results even at extreme depths. Designed for industries such as oil & gas, aerospace, power generation, and heavy equipment, the KDH Series delivers straight, accurate holes in the largest and most demanding parts, backed by high spindle power, robust construction, and versatile control systems.

KPGD — Precision Micro Gundrilling

The Kent CNC KPGD and KCNC Series deliver precision deep-hole drilling solutions across a range of applications. The compact KPGD-4X and KPGD-8X are engineered for high-speed micro-drilling, reaching spindle speeds of up to 30,000 rpm with built-in ER-16 spindles, making them ideal for fine, accurate holes in aerospace, medical, and high-precision components. Both handle large workpieces up to Ø1400 mm, with the 8X tailored for even bigger diameters. By contrast, the KCNC-36 offers lower spindle speeds up to 5,000 rpm with a belt-driven R-8 spindle, supporting heavier tooling up to 6.6 lbs and offering broader versatility for general-purpose deep-hole applications. All three models share a robust 141.7″ (3600 mm) base length, ensuring rigidity, while rapid feed rates and micron-level positioning accuracy deliver repeatable, high-quality results. Together, the KPGD and KCNC families provide a balance between ultra-precision micro-drilling and flexible, heavy-duty performance for shops with diverse production needs.

KMGD — Multitasking Deep Hole Drilling

The Kent CNC KMGD Series offers a wide range of multi-spindle deep-hole drilling centers designed for precision and productivity. Models vary from compact machines with table sizes around 15–27 inches wide and 59–78 inches long, up to heavy-duty platforms with travels exceeding 200 inches. Across the series, spindle speeds reach 8000 rpm (optional 10,000 rpm), with belt or gear drive systems and options for DIN or BT tapers. Positioning accuracy is consistently ±0.0004 in (±0.01 mm), ensuring reliable hole quality. Spindle motor power ranges from 7.5 hp to over 40 hp, depending on model size, while table load capacities extend from 3300 lb to 110,000 lb, supporting a wide spectrum of workpieces. Tooling capability accommodates diameters from Ø0.6 in up to Ø5.9 in (Ø15–150 mm, depending on configuration), with rapid feed rates up to 3150 ipm on advanced models. This series balances high accuracy, versatile spindle options, and large workpiece handling, making it suitable for industries from automotive and aerospace to heavy equipment manufacturing.
